The North East National Board Of School Education, Guwahati was established in November 2007 as per S.R. Acts XXXI of 1860 Government of Assam. The Board prescribes syllabus, courses of instruction, and textbooks for school education across India, and conducts examinations for Secondary and Senior Secondary levels. Thousands of candidates appear in the examinations annually.
